Arcsoft Photoimpression 5

Hello all,

I am running Ubuntu 8.10 and wine 1.0.1.

Has anyone successfully run photoimpression 5 using wine? It installs without any errors. It created an icon on the desktop, but when I try to run it nothing happens. I tried using the terminal and below is what I got.

You're running that from a windows partition, aren't you?

I copied and pasted from the wrong terminal.

I tried it both ways, from the windows partition and from my home directory in ubuntu (dstock76@dstock76-desktop:~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/ArcSoft/PhotoImpression 5$).

I get the same results either way.

When trying from your home directory, did you copy it from windows?

Install the program using wine. Do NOT copy it over, read the FAQ to find out why.

I did install the program using wine. No errors. It seemed to install fine. After trying that I tried running it from the other drive. I tried it just for the heck of it and didn't expect it to work.

Anyways, the windows drive should not have anything to do with it. I installed via wine and am trying to run it through wine on my local linux installation.
