Not related, but don't run wine as root. Why the hell are you running
as root anyway?

Hmm, log doesn't say much. Off hand, try native richedit.

Don't do this. Install it natively in Wine.

$ wget kegel.com/wine/winetricks
$ sh winetricks riched20

can u show me how to install natively in wine the ntfs (if u meant that)?

p.s: also i have installed wine-doors which to tell the truth i havent understand its usage but i have used it to install various applications but for example the firefox i have installed through this it cannot be uninstalled!

tip: For all freebsd users that we all know flash in not an option for browsers a simple trick is to download the latest firefox and adobe flash 10 and installed them via wine. Then u can see video in youtube ( but just this without sound ).

No. Install MSN 7 itself, into ~/.wine in your home partition on a
Linux filesystem.

Just run msn's setup program as you would in windows.

oh i see ... msn 7 is installed in this specific way u described with the effects i described in first message. Another application i ran is Poison ivy :) which is installed in ntfs drive and load it from there.In that app i have a similar problem which is: i have set up no-ip client successfully in FreeBSD, and configure the router etc nicely, but when a connection comes to poison client it is noticed in statistics tab but no connection appears in connection tab.I believe that this is a problem with the fonts(?) or similar as in the situation of msn 7. I will try now the script u told me to see what happens.

p.s: I forgot to tell u that similar problem i have with private windows programs which they ask for a serial key and when this particular window appears, either i cant write or the key does not appear so to enter the password.
