wine and diablo 2

I have the latest wine installed, when i run the diablo install disk i
get to the point of putting my name and serial number in and the load
screen comes up and doesn't do any thing more. I get a wine error code
of 126, does that mean any thing to you?

Diablo II is rated platinum.
Did you have a look in the appdb? [1]
I for myself run Diablo II: LoD on Ubuntu 8.10 and do not experience any problems.
Might not help you in any way

Just wanted to give a proof that it can run with wine.

Maybe you should pastebin the output of wine.
