New Bug?
I start up a game- any game, and instead of launching, it seems to start to launch and then fails, and all i see is my desktop in a lower resolution. Is this a bug, or is this human error on my part?

Wine version and how it was installed.
How you are getting and installing the games (if you are using warez sites, you are on your own.)
Thank you.

Re: New Bug?
Call of Duty 4, Civ 4, It really does not matter because it happens in every game, no matter what I try to start up.austin987 wrote:On Fri, Jan 30, 2009 at 2:34 PM, Silense28 <[email protected]> wrote:What games don't work? Re: New Bug?
Like i said before.... Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid) and Wine 1.1.13, installed via repositories on Ubuntu, although I cannot see how that makes a difference. I only play games via DVDs so, don't worry about warez problems...James Mckenzie wrote:Silense28 <[email protected]>OS Type and version (Ubuntu/Intrepid for example)Sent: Jan 29, 2009 6:48 PM

How are you starting the game? Are you changing directories to the DVDWell, I have figured out what is happening.... When I start an application, it actually starts and changes my resolution to temporarily match the game's, then it exits on its own, leaving the resolution the same in the process....

Sorry for the long response time, I have been busy lately. I start from going into the dvd and executing the program's exe file.James McKenzie wrote:Silense28 wrote:How are you starting the game?
