Civilization III: Complete on Steam won't run

I get the error message "Error loading font(Error code 13)!!" I tried copying LSANS.TTF from the civ3PTW folder into /windows/fonts, but that didn't work. I am running CrossOver Games (which uses Wine) and Steam to play Civilization III: Complete, which I downloaded through Steam. Help is greatly appreciated.

Yes CrossOver games uses a close blood relation to wine. But wine and CrossOver games do have slightly different errors at times.

We do support for wine itself giving advice on CrossOver not work. We are use to debuging these problems with wine console output not program error codes.

I don't even know where CrossOvers support forums are. Anyone mind giving Robocat where that is.

I use Wine on Ubuntu 8.10. I have experienced the same error. What do i do next to debug the error?

Upgrade Wine. Make sure you using latest wine_gecko.
If that doesn't work, wipe ~/.wine and reinstall Steam. See HOWTO on AppDB how to do that preserving your game data.
