As a few people have noticed ( http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16514 ), since the change to the new web design, any non-UTF-8 characters in the AppDB have been displaying as � (in Firefox) or a blank rectangle (in IE). This affects pretty much everyone with umlauts, accents, etc. in their names.
I've been cleaning up the app names and descriptions, but fixing the display names for users would require me to guess at the correct spelling of their names.
Luckily, if you are affected by this, you can easily fix this yourself by logging in and editing your preferences. Once you've retyped your name it should display correctly.
