P2P using Ubuntu

I am trying to install Windows Media Player under Wine to watch P2P rugby in Norway. It requests registration. Anyone know a way to install without doing this part? Couldn't see anything in the FAQ section, but......

What sort of registration? If you just want to watch onlien videos you could
try Firefox with the gecko media player plug-in.

I want to watch P2P sport over the internet, and most of the channels require WMP to run the video. Maybe there are some codecs that can make the Firefox AMP emulator plug-in work??
