sketchup-cannot resize tool menus (mat'ls, components...)

using wine under:
arch linux i686, openbox3, nvidia geforce go 6150

wine works great (all versions after 1.0), currently using wine 1.10.

however i cannot resize the tool menues (i.e. entity info, materials, components) and "shadows" won't even show up as a menu, it only shows as a toolbar.

two questions:
1. what can i try to be able to resize them, because sometimes i restart sketchup and they are tiny for some reason, and unusable.

2. i currently have to completely remove sketchup and wine and reinstall, is there a way to just reset to default sizes and locations...?
