perfect world int problem

I downloaded this game and tried to run it, however the screen is crazy and i cant see the mouse, I hope the screen shot works in here so you can see what I am talking about, you can't see the character for all the flashing and moving triangles.

Any help on this would be great, i look forward to your replies.

Might be helpful if you post a internet accessable link.

Most common cause if screen going nuts is compiz or kde compositing mode enabled.

Next is out of date Video card drivers. Ubuntu is great a servering these up out there repositories some with a lot of other distrobutions.

oh! sorry about the link, will try to update it as soon as I can.
could you be more specific about how I can check and possibly sort out the nuts screen?
And the video card driver... do I go to pref - synaptic, or add/remove and sort it out there? or is there some other place or web site I should try?
