Disable Balloon tips

Post by psykro »

Greets

I am new to wine and linux so could use some newbie help.

Running Ubuntu 8.10, Wine 1.0.1 and I want to find out if it is possible to disable the balloon tips in wine. I am running an application that updates me on its status via balloon tips, and in XP one can disable them via the registry, but I don't see the corresponding registry entry for wine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Did you try to create that registry entry by using regedit (in Wine)? If not,
try it now.
If this doesn't fix the problem then this can be considered as a bug in Wine
and should be reported as such.

Hey there.

I did indeed try to create that registry entry and it hasn't solved the problem.

If it is a bug, would I have to get someone else to verify the problem before I report it ?

Don't want to report something that there is actually a fix for....

It won't be confirmed. Give steps to reproduce and a download/demo
program that shows the problem.
