Hi,
I have Installed GSU 6.4 under wine it works but at dead
slow space. No Crashes are observed. Save Load
functions OK 2d Gfx save OK No functionality
glitches are observed on Limited Test Conducted.
Kubuntu, wine 1.1.2, nvidia ge4 440 GO
Latest Driver from nvidia.
OpenGL works fine as far as Linux desktop
is concerned. When I run Sketchup the CPU
utilization is almost 100%. On same machine
in windows partition GSU runs very nicely with
snappy respose.
Can Somebody Guide me in this regard.

Some More Observations for this Issue,
When I reduce Size of the window the response is very fast.
when I allow Window Decorations i see a black square below
cursor.
Can somebody Guide me On this Issue. I feel that its
just configuration of NVidia or x-server or wine or Ubuntu itself

It ran adept manager and compiz, plugins and plugins-extra
packages are removed in synaptic also they are unchecked
But some of the compiz packages are still shown as Installed
like emerald etc. etc. Shall I have to remove or purge all of them ?

and garbling the entire desktop still persists with CPU usage
100%. Acceptable performance is up to 60 to 70% of total
screen size. Above about 50% of screen size the desktop
garbling is noticed but goes off with desktop->refresh.
This is for latest update.

I'm interested in this speed problem. Does it persist with the latest versions of
everything ( Sketchup 7, Wine 1.1.9, and Kubuntu 8.10)?
