Fallout Nevada(A Fallout 2 mod) installs with the wrong language

Hi. I'm trying to install a mod for Fallout 2 called Fallout Nevada using Wine via Ubuntu. However when I install the game via the english installation it seems to install the game's text in Russian despite the opening intro narrator being in English. Seem I looked into the game's Configuration file and it says that it's set to English. I don't get why the text is still in Russian. I tried installing it using multiple Fallout 2 installers, but to no avail. Any advice here?

Fallout Nevada can be tricky with language stuff on Wine. Even if it says English in the config, it might still load Russian text files. Try checking for an English patch or replacing any leftover Russian files in the data folder.

Bafflingly yes. I installed on my dads computer via a USB thumb drive since my dad still uses windows. The game installed as intended however when I transfer the USB drive files to my computer or even ran from the USB drive the game ran in Russian language. I didn't think to photograph me running the game on my dads computer with the text properly installed, but I did photograph a virus scan I did under my dad's request since he's very sensitive about letting others use his computer. I live alone, but I was able to use my dad's computer during a visit. He requested I do a scan of the USB drive to alleviate his concerns. It must be something to do with the registry for Wine if it's not installing or running properly on Ubuntu.
