Wine reports vague critical graphical error when installing creative cloud

So, I was trying to install Adobe's Creative Cloud software on a laptop that I installed linux on, mainly to test it out before I tried linux on my main PC. At first the setup executable gave errors in wine about gecko not being installed, but this was eventually resolved, but now there's a different error,

I've tried searching this up to no avail, and I have no idea how this would be solved so any help or info would be greatly appreciated

HP Laptop 14-dq0xxx (RAM: 16gb, CPU: Intel Celeron N4120 (4) @ 2.600GHz, iGPU: Intel GeminiLake [UHD Graphics 600])
Linux Mint 22.1
Wine 9.0

NOTE: wine was installed using the apt "wine-installer"

Hi,

You might want to try to install Webview2 to around this. If it's installed Creative Cloud will use that.

wget https://msedge.sf.dl.delivery.mp.micros ... 2Setup.exe

wine MicrosoftEdgeWebview2Setup.exe

Then make sure you add an entry for msedgewebview2.exe in winecfg and set windows version to "windows 7", (otherwise you end up with blank screen)

Now try run the installer again.

That version of wine is over a year old, Try the latest version wine-10.6.

after updating wine to 10.0, webview2 was able to install fine
but upon opening the creative cloud installer it's completely black, even after waiting 10 minutes

Did you add an entry for msedgewebview2.exe in winecfg and set windows version to "windows 7"?

i did that and the installer showed output, but it gave an error saying the windows version was outdated
setting it to windows 10 in winecfg caused the program to return a black screen again

Are you sure you set the windows 7 version for msedgewebview only (so not for default settings)?

winecfg should say :Default settings --> windows 10
msedgewebview2.exe--> windows 7

oh my gosh im so sorry that i misread it in the first place
now only msedgewebview2.exe is set to windows 7 and the window is functioning, except for the lack of a mouse cursor
but the window seems to accept input still
