wine 10.2 devel kernel32.dll and ntdll.dll bug

Post by BENDER35 »

Hi, how are you? Eem, I recently updated to wine 10.2 BETA (the devel branch) and I get an error that prevents me from updating the .wine folder and now when I delete the .wine folder it does not load wineboot.exe, I have tried to uninstall winehq-devel also deleting the configuration files and nothing, it does not generate the .wine folder, giving me an error in kernel32.dll and giving me an error in ntdll.dll in the 32-bit folder (there may be an error in the version in some 32-bit dependency), I have xubuntu 24.04 with the 32-bit repos activated, I send the output of what I get when typing the winecfg

Code: Select all

wine: failed to open L"C:\\windows\\system32\\wineboot.exe": c0000135
0024:err:environ:run_wineboot failed to start wineboot c0000135
wine: could not load kernel32.dll, status c0000135
Can you help me? Thank you very much

Regards

Update: I have installed Wine with patches (staging) and it gives the same error, the stable version does not give me the error (it has generated the .wine folder)

The 10.2 Debian/Ubuntu packages are broken; downgrade to 10.1.

This has been the case for me for some time now. I cannot install any program at all on my Linux Mint using Wine and q4wine. I always get the error message (file not found) or (drive not found). Reinstalling doesn't help either.
