I need 32 bit wine back

Post by ToddAndMargo2 »

Hi All,

WineHQ Stable 10.0

Whatever prompted our intrepid heroes at wine hq from installing an "experimental WoW64" package into their Stable release, I do not know. But is has been an absolute disaster for me.

I need my 32 bit only wine installation back. I do not want anything to do with 64 bit wine. How do I do this?

Many thanks,
-T

The decision came when the OBS did not enable an i586 environment for Fedora 40 when it came out; the alternative was no Fedora packages at all.

I believe the distro packages are still old WoW64, so you could use them.

Unfortunately, they won't install. Too Many conflicts. --releasever=40 does not help

Wine will not downgrade

Have you tried doing it in two steps, uninstalling 10 and then installing the older version? Also, have you tried downgrading to an older version of our wine-devel or wine-staging packages?

Many times. Start over with a fresh .wine each time. Even erbooted

Yes, too many conflicts. DNF had a heart attack.
