wine64: not found

Post by LocalCustard »

I thought my luck was going to turn around with getting an application working but then winegui completely stopped working. I'm not sure how to remedy this because I've deleted it then re-installed it 3 times now and ran into this error. The errors began when I decided to make a brand new prefix. I thought because it was non-destructive it would work. However, for some reason this tipped it over as it no longer wants to work. I can't make a default machine. I am stuck with winegui being empty. For some reason, it was wine64 and cannot find it. Even after downloading wine64 nothing has changed.
The error is as follows:
sh: 1: wine64: not found
another error I get is:
An error has occurred!
Could not receive Wine version!
Is Wine installed?
When I try to make new machines I pick the 32 bit architecture for windows 10. What should I do to fix this?
Specifics: I use ubuntu. I have the most up to date version of wine-stable downloaded.

If by "winegui" you mean https://github.com/winegui/WineGUI, that's a third party program, and not supported here. Does running Wine without this third party program work on your system? If the problem is only with WineGUI, ask for help through their support channels.
