Still no support for Ubuntu 24.10 Oracular?

Post by ghazan »

Hi,

Ubuntu 24.10 Oracular was released three days ago, but still there's no support for it in WineHQ, for example, I can't install winehq-devel, because if I specify 'noble' as a Release source, it can't install dependencies, if I set the suite to 'oracular', I receive an error that the appropriate source is not available. I can install Wine 9.0, but for some reason I need the latest version to be installed (9.7 or smth like it).

Maybe it's time to add Oracular as the officially supported?

WineHQ builds packages for Wine when a new version of Wine is released.
As there has been no new Wine release since the launch of Ubuntu 24.10, there are no Wine packages yet.
Wine 9.20 is expected to be released this weekend and packages for Ubuntu 24.10 will also be built.
