I've installed Scrivener 3 on my Fedora 39 Plasma Machine under wine. And after some bugfixes it runs well. Now I want to activate the application with my license key but get error messages every time I try.
The error message speaks about proper dotnet versions and recommends to install dotnet 4.6.2 or higher.
I've tried with dotnet462 and dotnet48 over winetricks and made two fully fresh installs of the whole wine-stuff including the deletion of all the old winestuff resting on my machine after uninstalling wine and winetricks.
Actually I'm running wine version 9.1 (which should be actual) with windows 10. The Version of Scrivener 3xxx is for Windows 10 or higher and 64 bit. I'm not using a special prefix but it should be standard 64bit. My graphics settings in winecfg are on 300dpi.
So. Is anybody out there knowing something about this bug? I've read some stuff in the net, but got no real results. It's just about activating my license key, not really about the installation. but i don't get around this bug. I would be grateful for every hint or trick.
Bonus Trick: If you experience the "Fonts-Loading-Bug" with Scrivener 3 on linux, when scrivener is hanging while start: just install "sapi" with winetricks.
call:
Code: Select all
winetricks sapi
Code: Select all
winetricks corefonts
Code: Select all
winetricks allfonts
then you should be fine.

P.S.:
some people say my problem would be solved with
Code: Select all
winetricks dotnet48
Code: Select all
winetricks dotnet462
Thanks for all your help. Kind regards.
