extreme stutter after switching video mode and loading more times a checkpoint or save

Hello. I encounter this issue in games like carmageddon max damage and stray. The games can average to 40 fps, but after doing the switch or load a checkpoint 4 or 5 times (sometimes 1 is enough) they become unplayable, with 11 fps or less, and won't return normal without restarting the games. Some animations in stray causes the same effect. I can get the stray image freeze if i change resolution a third time, with the game still going (audio can be heard). I tried more distros other than the one i'm using (MX Linux and Devuan) and other desktop environments (lxqt and mate), with the same results. I'm using current wine-staging (9.8), nvidia propietary driver and dxvk 2.3.
