Hello,
I need help with a dictionary named PC Translator from LangSoft. I successfully ran it with Wine, but I have problems with keyboard layouts.
If I turn off SOFTEX option (2) and use manual keyboard switching, I can write into field (1) with English and Czech without any problems, but if I use Russian, it shows "??????" instead of characters (1). If I want to turn on System Keyboard Automatic Switching (3), I can't use other keyboard layouts than System One -> EN. Even though I have installed Czech and Russian in my Linux system.
If I turn the SOFTEX option on, no layout is working. It doesn't matter which one is chosen; it just writes strange characters (4).
I tried it on a PC and a notebook. I tried moving folders with the program from Windows and starting with.exe, and I tried installing different versions. I tried starting it from the SSD, where my Windows is. But nothing makes any difference.
Interesting is that if I want to change the font of words in the dictionary, I can write in the field in Russian without any problems. I can also copy Russian words into field (1), and it shows properly without any "????".
I need this dictionary because, over the years, a few people have added a lot of new translations. So either I make it work, I go back to Windows, or I need to find a different dictionary and upload words from this one (I haven't looked into this option yet).
Wine version: wine-8.0.1
Operating System: Linux Mint 21.1
Kernel: Linux 5.15.0-76-generic

Re: PC Translator (dictionary from LangSoft)
Is it possible to add keyboard-layouts/language-packages into Wine like in Windows?
Or maybe is something wrong with keyboard mapping?
