Stack overflow error as program tries to install itself

I am a brand-new Linux user, running Linux Mint 21.1 (Vera) with the Cinnamon 5.6.8 DE and Wine-stable 8.0.1, downloaded from this site.

I am trying to install Harmony Assistant 9.9.6c (64-bit) from Myriad Online, but without success. The installer EXE ran just fine, but the initial startup of the application itself is failing before setup is actually complete. The database lists HA 9.3.1 as a Platinum app, but that was a while ago. The Linux version of the software installs but has problems I was hoping to circumvent by running the Win64 version under Wine.

Trying to get this app to run under Wine, I discovered the ntlm_auth problem and resolved it with a DLL override. Now I'm getting the following, once all the fixme's are past:

The MIDIMAP error is irrelevant; the program will function just fine without MIDI sound. It's the stack overflow that is the problem.

Any ideas where I go from here?

The application starts fine here without any native overrides, so I'd set them back to builtin. And I also have the "ntlm_auth problem" but it doesn't seem to afffect the application. See screenshot.

tWhat you might need is doing 'winetricks arial' to install font. See if that helps anything.

All right, I had winetricks uninstall my wineprefix because it was complaining about the 64-bit setting, ran winecfg to reinstall a wineprefix, leaving the default at Windows 7. I then reinstalled Harmony Assistant, which again hung at the usual spot. I go the following output:

Also, if I may ask, what version of Linux Mint are you running, that you managed to get Harmony Assistant to install? A guy on the Linux Mint forum who's been trying to help me gets the same stack overflow at the same point in the program. We are both running Linux Mint 21.1 Vera.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply you are running Linux Mint, just force of habit at work. But it would be helpful if you were running Mint, because then I might stand a chance of getting Wine to work with my application.

Final report: I was getting nowhere, trying to figure out the problem on my own, so I reverted my system to its pre-Wine configuration and will be using the Linux version of the program, with all its inconveniences. I'll be sure to make a note of my lack of success in the database.

FWIW, it works for me as well. All I needed was "winetricks corefonts".
