Wine runs program successfully, but only once

I recently installed the Windows launcher for Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead.
It runs successfully, I then used it to install the latest version of CDDA and launch the game. The game ran, however, every subsequent time I launch the game wine crashes with the following error message:

The program has crashed.
See the log file for a stack trace.
CRASH LOG FILE: ./config/crash.log
VERSION: 300ec6d
TYPE: Signal
MESSAGE: SIGSEGV: Segmentation fault

I can provide the log file but I thought this may be a common problem and someone might be able to help without it.

In a perfect world any Windows program should work with Wine, until then I wonder why you don't use the Linux version of the game?
