'Wrong' admin account type prevents install

Post by sonicheadjog »

Hi forumers,
I'd appreciate some help with this; I'm trying to install Spotify for Windows on my 32-bit Linux Mint 19 system (the native version is locked out) and I get the following error.

'Please install Spotify using a normal account instead of an administrator account'.

I have tried setting up a 'normal' account in Mint and using that, but the result is the same, any idea how to solve this one?
Many thanks

Wine runs Windows programs by default as the Windows Administrator.
(Not to be confused with the Linux administrator.)

Wine-Staging has a patch to install programs as a normal Windows user.
