Program running under wine shows artifacts on all Xfce4 virtual desktops.

I am running Wine 7.0 under Xubuntu 20.04.4.
Xubuntu runs Xfce4.

I have installed a Windows programs via wine, and it is working fine, in general. However, I am running with several virtual desktops under Xfce4, and I have a problem running this wine-based application in this virtual desktop environment

I can start the wine-based application on any virtual desktop, and a black border appears around the application window on that desktop. This black border is obviously needed, because it allows me to resize the application window.

However, that same black border (without the application inside of it) appears on all other virtual desktops, as well. Because of this, I can't run this wine-based application without that black border getting in the way of all my other applications.

Is there any way to disable that empty black border on all Xfce4 virtual desktops on which the wine-based application is running? In other words, I of course want the black border around the application window itself, but not on any other virtual desktops.

Thank you very much for any ideas and suggestions.

UPDATE: An alternative might be for me to be able to delete the black border after I have started the wine-based application and positioned its window. Is that possible?

I'm running Slackware64-15.0 on Intel HD4000 (Ivy Bridge) & AMD RX6600XT graphics and don't have the symptoms you describe. I do have a program that pops up text boxes and they randomly remain after they should when I'm using two monitors. I know, I know, 2 monitors & 4 VTs… I don't get big black borders, btw.

What graphics have you? What OS?
