MusicBee: "Sharing violation. This file cannot be updated as another application has this file open at the same time"

Post by meah »

So I've nearly successfully installed MusicBee on Linux Mint 20.2, but I'm getting the following error any time I try to edit the file or make a new playlist:

"Sharing violation. This file cannot be updated as another application has this file open at the same time."

Apparently this is an NFTS error, but my Mint install is using the ext4 file format, and all of my music is there and playing fine. I do have a Windows 10 dual boot but I don't believe that should be relevant in any way.

Does anyone have any idea for how to fix this?

Are you using the "normal", the portable or the Windows 10 version of MusicBee?
What version of Wine do you use?
