Halo 1.08 Insert CD

So, I installed Halo PC on WINE in ubuntu according to the instructions on this site, and it gives me a please insert disc error. I can't find a NoCD crack for 1.08, there's one for 1.07 that solves my problem but I can only play campaign (yes, I have a legit CD Key, I bought it when it first came out). When I try to play multiplayer it says there's an update, but even when I update it keeps telling me there's an update.

Any ideas?

Ah, a bit of registry editing then, eh? Thanks, got it working but it's too laggy to be practical.
