wine and zbrush

Post by walk5 »

I have zbrush 2020.1.1 running on wine 5.0 on kubuntu 19.10. It is running well.

Only one issue. The alt hot key when pushed should pan and zoom when you left mouse click and drag. Instead I have to push alt + shift to do the same thing. Also I should be able to select polygons by pushing alt and left mouse clicking. I can not find any way of selecting multiple polygons.

Thank you in advance.

By selecting polygons I mean with the zmodeler brush.

Is there any way to select multiple polygons with the zmodeler brush?

I was able to find the answer to this question. It is the KDE/Plasma that was blocking it. The Plasma has it's own shortcuts that were blocking zbrush. Here is what you need to do if you are having the same issue.

Open systems settings. Go to windows behavior. You need to go to the tab that says titlebar and frame. There is a setting that using ALT. You need to change that to another key.

Zbrush is now working the way it should.
