USB headset mic input

Post by nokernel »

Hello!

Did some search about this issue of mine ,and didn't find anything that helps me solve this issue.

I dont have mic input from my usb headset in wine. (I tryed 2 different headset and even analog mic in).

The mic works natively with alsa, I can record sound from this mic. But I can't seem to make it work under wine.

I added the headset in .alsarc file and I see the headset when I run winecfg.

Alsa is the only sound engine used in winecfg.

Actually im trying to make this work with eve-online. I am able to hear voice chats from a channel but I can't speak, I dont even see that I am transmitting sound.

Anyone succeded to make voice chat work completely with eve-online?

Or what can I test to see if it's eve-online the problem and not wine?

Thanks!

USB headset mic input

Do not know if this will be any help to you or not. I found out that
for a lot of Linux builds USB comes out only as alsa 1 or also 2 not as
default. Since that is the ONLY sound i have, I had to turn on JACK and
use a symbolic link from /dev/dsp1 to /dev/dsp. Once Jack was running,
I reran winecfg and told it to look for jack as well as alsa. Then the
sound worked on both.
