Hello,
Was happy with my wine until I started getting runtime errors every time I try to open a program. Can't run any programs through Wine now! Help!
Complete Linux/Wine noob. Tired to uninstall and reinstall Wine, but it didn't help. Running Hardy Ubuntu and Wine 1.0.
Any and all suggestions appreciated!

An example folks can see might help.
A short one of two or three lines that shows what you are doing and what rudeness your system is giving you in return.
It might help if you also said which applications you have tried.
It might also help if you said which version(s) of Wine+Ubuntu worked (seems Wine 1.0.0 with Ubuntu 8.04 doesn't).
How did you try to uninstall and reinstall Wine ?
DId you delete your .wine directory, create a new one and reinstall your applications ?

Try moving/deleting that directory ('mv .wine .wine-old') and see if you
can then run something with Wine (which will recreate a new .wine
directory in the process).

Un/Re-installing won't correct the problem if it is due to the config inHello,
