Hi,
I am multiply disabled, with a severe low-frequency strobe sensitivity and coordination/proprioception impairements among other conditions, and I am trying to find info on how Wine handles accessibility settings: does it try to imitate Windows's settings, and let users apply their choice of settings, does it implement the host system's settings, or what?
I searched for "accessibility" in the faq and several manual sections, without success. I also searched in the fora, but only a few old threads seem to have been ablout accessibility.
I currently use os x. I used to use Linux, but had a lot of trouble with inaccessible hardware and incompatible drivers. It's hard to find reviews covering accessibility in Windows, let alone in Linux! But os x still lacks certain accessibility options available in Linux and Windows.
I can no longer use LibreOffice, OpenOffice, etc. in os x, because I can't disable the flashing cursors and flashing text boxes. Knowing both Windows and Linux have accessibility options to disable flashing cursors, I'm wondering if Wine and its derivatives have similar options, and whether I might be able to use LibreOffice for Windows.
Thank you.
How does Wine Handle Accessibility Tools?
Re: How does Wine Handle Accessibility Tools?
As far as I can see, Wine is supposed to have an option to disable flashing/blinking cursors, but bug #10106 states it isn't working as of July 2015.
