Space Bucks gives an installation error

Hello, this is my first post in this forum and english isn't my mother tongue. So please, be gently with me.

Ok, now the problem.
I run WINE 1.1.2 under Ubuntu 8.04 and try to install Space Bucks (german version). It's a cool game from 1996 for Win 3.1 and Win 95, but everytime I try to install the game, there pop up a window, which say

Error: Could not load 32-bit Smacker DLL.

This happens a few time and the installation fails.

Can anybody help me?

Hi,

This sounds like your game's installer expects to find a file named smacker.dll (or possibly smackw32.dll) in the Windows system directory.
If you have such a file somewhere, copy it to

$HOME/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32

and try again.

Wot ? You don't have such a file.

The sixth post down has a download link for a .zip file that contains 34 version of smackw32.dll.

Thanks for the answer.

Space Bucks delivers there own smackw32.dll and after copying I tried the installation but the error came again.

The .zip file from the url you gave me is corrupted.

Any other suggestions?

It's a cool game from 1996 for Win 3.1 and Win 95,

It may be too old to run in Wine.
