External drive auto-detect

Hello,

I have an issue with wine making my external drive accessible to windows applications.

I tried to delete mapping to the external drive and keep only the virtual C: drive and apply changes in wine configuration, but Wine overrides my configuration and restores mapping to external drive automatically. It is very annoying.

I might be missing something. Could anyone please explain how to resolve this issue?

Remove the z: symlink from the wineprefix's dosdevices folder. Winetricks sandbox will do that for you, along with remapping the folders on the Desktop Integration tab to ones within the wineprefix.
