Hello Forummembers,
since a few month Citavi5 is out and i tried it with Wine (Crossover). The installation goes to the end, and starts, but it is unusable.
Now i would like to understand why it is so. AFAIK all dependencies (.NET 2.0, .NET 5, and so...) can be downloaded and should work.
Is the problem now that Citavi uses undocumented dependencies, or missiing WiNE itself some routines?
Greetings
Sascha

Re: Understanding Citavi Wine Support
Crossover is not supported here; this forum is for plain Wine only.
The version of Wine that Crossover is based on is old, so you should start by testing in the latest development release of plain Wine. However, according to the app's website, it requires .NET 4.5. This version of .NET does not yet fully install or work in Wine; if this app requires features of .NET 4.5 that don't yet work in Wine, it won't work either.
