Wiki shows how to install the Beta not the Stable

Hello, I am very surprised that the following wiki page : https://wiki.winehq.org/Ubuntu
shows how to install the Beta version of Wine (1.9.x) and not the Stable (1.8.x).

- Is this normal or a mistake ?

It is not a mistake. The wiki instructions are for the WineHQ packages, which are only built for the development and staging branches. The stable packages mentioned in the thread you linked to are not built or supported here.
