I want to know where an application saves it's settings.
Is it possible to save the entire Wine folder, to somewhere else, then run the application, save settings, and then compare the Wine folder with the previously saved folder to find out what has changed?
I am thinking that the application saves settings in a file somewhere, or in the registry, or are there other places where an app can save it's settings?
How can I compare the 2 folders (including registry) ?
I am using Linux Mint.
Find/compare changes that the app makes?

That wasn't very helpful...
I new to Linux... I don't know how to compare 2 folders (including differences between the 2 registry), what app I can use for that?
