Fallout 3 GOTY crash upon clicking on starting a new game

As the title suggest, I've been trying to play the game on my MacBook but every single time I start up a new game, it freezes and says I've encountered a serious problem so the program closed. What should I do, thank you!

I'm having the same problem only its with new vegas
