Understanding of why wine is not always working.

Hi guys,

I'm new with wine and i use it with vlc for example, and i love it.I read in the FAQ that wine is not perfect: it doesn't work for all .exe. I want to know why it's not working for all programs and what's the problem that we encounter the most wich makes that dont work or not perfectly.
