USB sofware key on Wine ?

Post by Max31 »

Hi friends,

I have a RIP software for printing on t shirts (it's a simple colors separator before printing basicaly ..)
The software "acroRIP" is freely down loadable on the editors website, but you must buy a usb key that contain some code (i guess) that activate the software.
Then it's very easy, just plug the key, and for a reason i ignore the program immediately recognize it and get unlocked.

I am usualy imprest about wine, most oftenly windows apps work on it, and it's great ! But this time ... No, the program is not communicate with the key ... So here i am ... Is this code improvement ? Or maybe some tuning on the wine install ?

Anyway, i need help :)

Thank's for reading :)

Wine doesn't support USB dongles. There were some old patches for that, but I don't know if they can be applied to current Wine. If you want to experiment, the instructions are here: http://wiki.winehq.org/USB.
