I'm trying to send sysex data out in OS X with Sounddiver via Wine but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm using the build of Wine that comes with WineBottler. Does MIDI sysex work? I can only find info about it for Darwine.

I can honestly not believe you're the only person who have tried this (besides me)! 
It seems to be the issue with mainline Wine, not wineskin nor bottler - the sysex bug is reported here http://osdir.com/ml/wine-bugs/2013-03/msg00501.html

you should add your experience to the bug report (sometimes it helps a bit, if a bug gets some more attention). Obviously the guy in the bug report, Jörg Höhle, is working on it, but afaik he has a fulltime job, so it may take some time. You could try to contact him via email, though I'm not sure, if he'd appreciate it, but from time to time he's actively looking for people to test patches, especially on Mac OSX.
I don't know anything about Sysex/MacOSX, but I'd assume, many people in your situation resort to using virtual machines like parallels, vmware, virtualbox, so if you need a solution right now, it might be easier to use a VM.

I installed wine with this patch made by tinez and got the Nord Modular G1 editor mostly working with sysex.. (i say mostly because one patch in particular caused a bank dump to fail, may just be a problem with that patch)
Does anyone know the current status of that Sysex bug in Wine? I did not find it via the link posted by marduk.
I think we should at least link tinez's patch to that bug report, or ask him to officially contribute as it seems to work.

I'm no good with building apps from source, patching and that low-level stuff on OSX.
Does there happen to be a version of Wine floating around that has the SysEx patch applied? If not, would some incredibly kind person mind sending me a patched version of Wine? PM me if you feel like helping!
