Voobly's 'Game Browser' doesn't show up anymore

Hello,
I was playing AoE2 via Voobly on recent wine-staging from the ArchLinux-AUR which always worked like a charm. However, most recently, for the last 2 weeks, I cannot open Voobly's Game Browser anymore. With PlayOnLinux I tried diferent wine versions, staging and normal, and it is always the same problem, so I don't know if something more system-relevant has changed or the Voobly client update changed too much. There are no error messages if I start voobly except some log messages when starting it:

But there are no error messages if I click "Game Browser", just nothing happens.

The problem with Voobly/AoE2 is a known bug, https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29384. The bug report is marked "staged," which means it should work in wine-staging but not in the development release. Does downgrading to an older version of wine-staging fix it?

Hello dimesio,
this bug is not related to AoE2, it is a problem with Voobly itself and as I said it occurs in all wine versions, independently of being staging or not.
I asked in the Voobly forum and they told me that they switched the ingame browser (which is used in "Game Browser") to Internet Explorer 8 (instead of 7 previously) which could be the source of the problem. Now i tried to install the ie8 and the dotnet45 package (which is not possible at the same time apparently) but the problem remains the same.

Any other ideas?
