Linux Mint 17.2 kernel ver 3.19.0-28 causes sound problems

Post by imneo88 »

Been trying to troubleshoot a missing text issue in Tomb Raider 2013 that's not related to the -nodwrite problem and found when I upgraded to Linux kernel version 3.19.0-28 that the sound in ALL my wine games echo and cause severe video lag to the point that the games aren't playable. They are playable in Linux kernel version 3.16.0-38 but again.. missing the text on the Save Game menu in Tomb Raider 2013 and Lara's Logs in that same game. Everything else works fantastic!!

Linux Mint 17.2 Rafael Cinnamon x64
this bug appears in every Wine prefix I've tried on PlayonLinux. Last tested on 1.7.49 staging
Running an Intel I7 960 w/ 12 gig of memory
ATI Radeon HD6790 display adapter with dual monitors
MSI X58 Intel Mainboard with onboard sound

Will be switching back to Kernel version 3.16.0-38 until this problem is resolved. ;)

Neither Wine-staging nor POL are supported here. Please test your apps/games in plain Wine before posting here.

As my post said, I've tried several WINE prefix's.. however, it was/is a random issue.. and that's just.. WEIRD!
