Slow mouse scrolling on wine with Foxit Reader

Acer chromebook 15 with Ubuntu 15.04 on top. Using beta wine or stable wine, mouse scrolling is painfully slow in foxit. Other pdf readers and applications don't exhibit the same problem. Strangely, keyboard arrow scrolling is very smooth which doesn't go along with the lag in mouse or touchpad scrolling in foxit. Synaptics driver for the touchpad. Any clues? Thank you.

Addition: there might also be slower mouse and touchpad scrolling in the other apps too but not too bad. But arrow scrolling is much much smoother.
