Battle.net Launcher Crashes after being open for 5 sec

Post by billabongboy1985 »

Ok, I'm brand new to Linux. I'm using Linux Mint 17.2 and I have fixed most of my issues via device drivers, video card issues, and etc. This is one issue I have no resolve for. I got it to work on Ubuntu and I don't remember how I did it. If anyone has answers on how to fix this problem I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm using WINE version 1.6.24

I can get the launcher to load, but it won't stay open.

Same issue if I use PlayOnLinux.

There's no such version; presumably you mean 1.6.2. That version is old; upgrade to 1.7.50.

Can confirm that battle.net will not work with wine 1.6 but works OK with latest 1.7.xx
You will need to add the ubuntu ppa to get the latest version of wine for Mint. See here: https://www.winehq.org/download/ubuntu
