Perfect Embroidery Pro v8.47 - Product Registration error

New to Wine and trying to get this application running so I can jettison the Windows laptop. It looks like it mostly works, but there is something amiss during the registration process and I'm not sure how to go about tracking down what the source might be. I'm able to cancel the registration process and the app does come up, displays as I would expect but many functions are unavailable because it is not registered. I get a number of wine "fixme" errors during launch and from reading the wiki understand that they are probably mostly OK to ignore.

When I've talked to customer support for the application they've suggested that either a firewall or virus protection is getting in the way of the process so I suspect a possible networking issue. With no virus/firewall SW running on the Mac, the errors persist. The error reported is "No Site Registered" in one of the registration fields which does imply something network related. They only specifically support running the application in a real Windows environment, even bootcamp, and virtual box are questionable environments so I'm limited in what I can get from them for help.

I've attached a screen shot of the registration screen where the error is displayed. Interestingly, if other products are selected from the dropdown, the Reg Number field does populate successfully.

Wine Version: wine-1.6.2 (from macports)

That version is almost two years old. Try the latest development release, which should also be available from Macports. You will also need to upgrade wine-gecko.

Thanks for the quick response. I installed wine-devel from macports and now have wine v1.7.46. I don't see a separate wine-gecko install. It looks like I have v2.36 installed: /opt/local/share/wine/gecko/wine_gecko-2.36-x86.msi

Still have the same error in the app, below is the console output from wine. Maybe the missing ole object is related?
