Chinese character display and Skype send

Just install wine 1.7 on Linuxmint primarily for using Skype in Linux environment. I have noted:

(1) Wine does seem support Chinese character display.

(2) Skype does have a language option and can see menu with Chinese character but the display of message from user with Chinese does not work.

(3) The Skype file up ok and with /legacylogin I can indeed login and receive communication from friend. But for some strange reason, I can enter text but the send button does not seem to work.

Any help is appreciated.

I don't quite understand why you would use Wine for Skype, as it is natively supported on Linux. You can just get it on Skype site.
