Does the user 'interact with' or use the Installer directory

In the .wine directory tree, there is a directory under windows named Installer -- with a capital I.

Is the user supposed to do anything with this directory,when installing programs? Or, does Wine use it internally? The Wiki and FAQ seem to make no reference to it. If it's supposed to be used for something, and that's not done correctly, could it cause problems with the proper operation of Wine?

:?: What is its purpose, and what's the user supposed to do with the Installer directory? If anything ... :?
