Help with Blacklight Retribution

I installed the Windows version of Steam with Wine (Ubuntu 14.04 LTS) and then proceeded to install Blacklight. When I launch it from Steam it gives me the blank play button. I have tried launching manually but that does not work. Any suggestions on what to do?
