Photoshop CC

Post by Momof9Blessings »

I have been using Photoshop CC in WINE for over a month now. It has been working great! But today - it won't start. It keeps crashing...

This is the error message I get... " The program Photoshop.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvienience. This can be caused by a problem in the program or a deficiency in Wine. You may want to check the Application Database for tips about running this application"

Here is the Details... well it won't show me the details now.

I restarted my computer, but that did not help. So I checked in The Ubuntu Software Center - and it does not even recognise that I have Wine installed. I click on Wine Windows Program Loader - install, and it wants to remove some MS Windows layers.... I don't want it deleting my PS..... I know that I installed it all thru the terminal....

When I do a search on my computer - it say I have - Configure Wine (version 1.7.38), uninstall wine software, & Winetricks. I see there is a newer version, what is the best way to upgrade?

Thank you - I hope to get this resolved very soon - since I can't work without PS....

I have the backtrace.txt - it said to file a but report, but that did not work. So I restarted PS again, so that I could click on "Share bug report" - but now it is working.... Will see how long it works. Should I send in the bug report somewhere?

Should I update or stick with the version I have now?

Thank you,
Lori

If everything is working, there's no reason to upgrade.
