It was never there before until in the last couple of month on one of my computer. My other computer does not have it. What is it? Anyone can explain, please?

That's where user's profiles are.

Is it a new feature in the new version?

It actually has links to folders in my Linux home directory. Does that cause securities concern?

Yes, it is a small security concern. You can avoid it by doing
winetricks sandbox
before installing apps, but sometimes you have to do it after
installing apps that restart windows (like ie6), so it's not a
very good solution.
Mostly it's not worth worrying about.

Has the behaviour within the directory changed as well?
