tools, WhatChanged and RegShot, might not only help this situation out, but help
get other programs to work in WINE.
Also, I have links to other places in there and explain a little about SecuROM
and why you need the disc (or emulate a disc) to START the game, but you can
take it out later.
Myth 11 and WINE's page about copy protection are applicable here. WINE supports
SecuROM 4.xx but not 5.xx.

Thanks for your how to on WhatChanged and Regshot.
I've used WhatChanged and although it doesn't show every file change (in fact it only shows new files not those that were modified) I was able to finally start Launcher.exe (of The Witcher 2) on Wine. I have now a registered game but I've still didn't managed to get it working.
SecuROM in this case is used only for activation so I don't need to bother with disc.
